A dark cloud hung above
and hovered between
the bouts of sunshine.
The humidity drove sweat
down the faces of many.
Then a deluge of rain
came to cleanse the soul.
Lightning struck
and the thunder rolled,
bringing people into respite
and introducing
strangers on the street.
